Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries by coordinating with physicians, patients and surgical staff using EMR systems.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain pre-authorizations for procedures per Medicare/ HIPAA rules.
• Review medical docs, care plans and notes to ensure scheduling accuracy.
• Maintain records of surgery dates, CPT/ICD codes, and billing details.
• Communicate appointment details and prep instructions with patients by phone or front desk.
• Ensure medical records are ready for upcoming surgeries and manage EHR systems securely.
