The Role You’ll Contribute

The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per registry and department protocols. Assists physicians with interventional procedures such as transesophageal and stress echocardiograms. Carries out all applicable processes of the department, assumes responsibility for designated areas, and actively participates in customer service while maintaining respectful relationships.

• Utilizes knowledge and skills for age-specific factors to perform safe, accurate procedures. Continues education and adapts to new technologies. Utilizes knowledge of cardiac and peripheral vascular anatomy and physiology.
• Performs routine and complex studies, assists with imaging procedures, and works independently.
• Obtains high-quality scans, follows exam protocols, confirms patient identity, documents procedures, and maintains confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography
• Accredited Graduate of Sonographer Program
• BCLS - Basic Life Support
• RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography)
• RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer (American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography)
