The Role

The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound exams, assists with interventional procedures, and ensures high-quality patient care in accordance with department protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-specific, safe, accurate, and effective ultrasound procedures.
• Assist physicians in procedures like transesophageal and stress echocardiograms.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and proper documentation.
• Utilize knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and physiology.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography
• Graduate of an accredited Sonographer Program
• BCLS certification
• RDCS and RCS certifications from the American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography
