Department: Cardiovascular Services

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Shift 1/7:30:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$30.39 - $39.50 / hour

Summary

Able to perform diagnostic echocardiographic study integrating all imaging modalities necessary to obtain all pertinent patient data for diagnostic purposes. Sonographer will specialize in transthoracic echocardiographic studies according to departmental and IAC protocol.). Document completely and accurately patient data and echo exam information utilizing current information management system and follows appropriate billing for procedures. Be well organized and able to function independently. Must be patient orientated and show critical thinking skills with appropriate communication. Demonstrate flexibility in learning all equipment.

Requirements

Education: Graduated from an accredited cardiovascular technology program or diagnostic medical ultrasound program. Extensive experience may substitute training.

Experience: 6 months of clinical experience in cardiac ultrasound preferred.

Certification: BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required. Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Echocardiography (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Echocardiography (RCS) required within six months of hire.

License: N/A

Other: Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and e-mail.
