Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Perioperative RN to oversee patient care during operative procedures and to supervise the surgical team.

You will work a Monday–Friday shift from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, with heart call requirements, contributing to a high-quality, patient-centered perioperative program. Requirements include a NLN-accredited nursing program, active Louisiana RN license, BLS (and ALS within 6 months), with CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• NLN-accredited nursing program graduate.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• BLS certification required; ALS within 6 months of hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• 2+ years cardiovascular/surgical RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and provide care via nursing process and teamwork.
• Perioperative RN plans and directs care for patients undergoing operative/invasive procedures and directs the surgical team.
