Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for the Cardiovascular Metabolic therapeutic area in California, covering Fresno and the Central Valley. This field-based role interfaces with cardiometabolic thought leaders and payers to communicate clinical data and economic value, aligning with Amgen’s goals.

The successful candidate will have advanced degrees (PharmD/PhD/MD/DO or equivalent), extensive medical affairs experience, and cardio-metabolic expertise, with a track record in clinical

Qualifications

• Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred.
• 5+ years of industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Two or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Cardio-metabolic expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with cardiometabolic opinion leaders and healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance scientific platform.
• Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key partners, advocacy, and access enablers.
• Provide in-depth clinical and economic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees; share insights with internal teams on payer policy and value evidence.
• Lead or participate on project teams supporting MSL strategies; implement scientific engagement plans and local OL plans.
