Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, CO is seeking a CV Invasive Specialist I to support cardiac catheterization procedures. This role requires working under supervision with opportunities for independent judgment and adherence to ACVP/NASPE standards.

You will scrub, circulate, monitor, and assist with imaging, medications, and post-procedure care, with a 40-hour week on 4/10 shifts at Saint Joseph Hospital. A sign-on bonus of $20,000 may apply and career growth is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health science with six months of health care experience (e.g., Cath Lab, EP, EMT, Paramedic, CNA, Surgical tech) or equivalent.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Current license, where applicable.
• Surgical Tech/Assistant Certification per state requirements.
• Rad Tech state license per state requirements (Montana).

Responsibilities

• Participate in procedure room preparation and post procedure turnaround.
• Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies including documenting hemodynamic recordings.
• Provide patient education and emotional support; ensure patient comfort.
• Assess patient condition and inform physician of deviations during procedures.
• Understand x-ray generation and safety; operate imaging equipment correctly.
• May mix and administer medications under physician supervision.
• Document procedure events accurately.
• Develop skills in operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting Cardiac Cath Lab equipment.
