Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for CV Invasive Specialist I include BLS, PALS/ACLS within 3 months, and a health-science degree or related clinical program.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program or equivalent with clinical hours.
• One year health care experience in Cath Lab/EP or related area; strong documentation and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in procedure room preparation and post-procedure turnover.
• Assist in invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies management and inventory control.
• Document hemodynamic data, calculations, and interpretations during procedures.
• Provide patient education and emotional support; ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Develop knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, and anatomy relevant to procedures.
• Assess patient condition and inform physician of deviations during procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and understand x-ray principles.
• May assist with medication administration under supervision as required.
• Complete procedure data entry and imaging study processing.
