Job summary

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing for Cardiovascular IMC and CVICU. You will lead two specialized units, mentor staff, and shape cardiovascular nursing care, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes across shifts.

The role requires leadership experience, RN licensure, and flexibility to work day, evening, and night shifts as needed. This is a critical nursing leadership opportunity in Baltimore.

Qualifications

BSN or MSN from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Experience in CVICU, CCU, or CVIMC (strongly preferred).
Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

Support daily operations, mentor and develop nursing staff, and help drive patient care across two cardiovascular units.
Assume administrative and leadership authority during specific shifts for the assigned unit/department.
Foster quality, safety, and cost-conscious patient care outcomes in line with MedStar Health policies.
