Job summary

The Dell Medical School in conjunction with Ascension Texas is seeking Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Health. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care, split between clinic and inpatient telemetry settings.

Responsibilities include health assessments, direct treatment with prescriptive authority or referrals, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing or PA program and board certified.
• PA-C with NCCPA certification and Texas Medical Board licensure.
• APRN with prescriptive authority and board certification (AANPCB or ANCC) and Texas Board of Nursing licensure.
• Capacity to work well with physicians and a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in cardiovascular and thoracic care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs health assessments, screenings, and patient care.
• Provides direct treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes per specialty standards and policy.
• Collaborates with physicians and other care providers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
