Job summary

Lexington Health seeks a Dual Registered Sonographer Educator to lead and mentor sonographers in Echo and Vascular testing. This role develops and validates competencies, coordinates orientation, and ensures adherence to accreditation standards.

You will serve as a clinical educator and program leader within the department. As a key educator, you will partner with management to develop training, monitor performance, and provide ongoing QA data and education for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Years of Experience in Echocardiography and Vascular Technology (can be concurrent).
• Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
• Required Certifications/Licensure: Registered in Echocardiography and Vascular Technology.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or become certified within 3 months of employment.
• Required Training: Must possess excellent understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence to provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for patients ranging from Infants through Geriatric.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities of the staff sonographer.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports staff education and competency validation.
• Provides structured orientation to new employees and identified areas of specific competencies.
• Identifies staff development needs and creates education programs for group settings and individuals.
• Is a resource and role model for staff, maintains QA data and accreditation standards.
