Job summary

Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC seeks a Dual Registered Sonographer Educator to lead education and mentorship for cardiovascular sonographers. This role develops orientation, training, and competency programs across Echo and Vascular services, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and quality improvement initiatives.

The educator collaborates with leadership to implement staff development and ensures ongoing QA and professional growth for the sonography team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Registration in Echocardiography and Vascular Technology is required.
• Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates delivery of quality patient care as an educator, mentor, and leader for Cardiovascular Sonographers.
• Develops, coordinates, and implements orientation, training, and competency validation for all sonographers and students.
• Maintains echocardiogram and vascular accreditations and QA data for Medical Directors and department leadership.
• Provides education to staff and disciplines related to Echo and Vascular testing.
• Creates and maintains training programs, competencies, and annual evaluations.
