Job summary

Lexington Health is hiring a sonographer who will perform and process echocardiography and vascular ultrasound examinations. The role requires proficiency in cardiac physiology, patient history intake, and image optimization, with on-call duties as needed.

The candidate should be registry-eligible (ARDMS or CCI) and obtain the relevant registry within 90 days, with CPR certification or plans to obtain within 3 months. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification or obtain within 3 months of employment.
• Registry eligible (ARDMS or CCI) in Echocardiography and/or Vascular Technology; must obtain registry within 90 days.
• Formal training specific to echocardiography and/or vascular sonography.
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs invasive and non-invasive echo and/or vascular procedures.
• Recognizes cardiovascular anatomy and disease states.
• Elicits patient history relevant to cardiac/arterial conditions.
• Performs brief physical exams related to cardiac/arterial states.
• Maintains equipment and calibrations; reports malfunctions.
• Available for on-call duty to support after-hours service.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
