Job summary

Pscfl is seeking a Lead Echo Tech/Educator to provide clinical leadership, education, and quality assurance within the Heart Station. The role focuses on high-quality imaging, staff mentoring, and implementing best practices.

You will train technologists, oversee onboarding, and collaborate with physicians and management to maintain protocols and QA standards. Strong clinical sonography experience and active credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-4 year diagnostic ultrasound program from an accredited institution.
• ARDMS or CCI (registered Cardiac Sonographer) must maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
• American Heart Association BLS must maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
• 7-10 years of experience in echocardiography, with a strong clinical background.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to clinical expert for challenging echocardiographic cases and provide guidance.
• Perform studies (e.g., pre-surgical cases, OR cases for echo) and ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams; share information to aid patient outcomes.
• Evaluate staff competencies and perform QA on images and studies for physician review.
• Collaborate with Heart Station Manager on staff recruitment and development.
• Develop and deliver training programs for sonographers to ensure proficiency.
• Oversee onboarding and orientation of new hires and ongoing education.
