American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Cardiovascular Sonographer (Echo/Vascular) in Lexington, KY.

The role involves performing a 50/50 split of echocardiography and vascular ultrasonography exams in a cardiology department, with ARDMS/CCI board certification and RDCS/RVT registration as preferred qualifications. The position requires an Associate degree, BLS, and 3+ years of Echo experience, with weekend and holiday coverage as part of a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS or CCI board certification in echocardiography or vascular required.
• Must be registered in Echo (RDCS/RCS/RCCS/ACS) or Vascular (RVT/RVS/RT(VS)).
• Secondary modality certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Echo experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and imaging techniques.
• Proficiency in Echo and Vascular procedures and patient positioning.
• Understanding of contrast echocardiography indications and adverse events.
• Competent in starting and maintaining IVs.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasonography in a cardiology setting.
• Imaging appropriate patient populations from neonates to geriatrics.
• Maintain a 50/50 case split Echo and Vascular procedures.
• Attend 1st shift, 5x8 schedule, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Participate in a weekend shift every 5 weeks and one winter holiday.
• Take part in call rotation and on-call responsibilities.
• Provide quality exams with reports, educate patients, and mentor staff.
• Communicate diagnostic information to physicians.
