Job summary

MUHA is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II to support physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive cath lab environment. Responsibilities include left heart catheterization procedures, documentation of hemodynamics, and ensuring equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certification within 2 years; may be RCIS/RCES/CEPS as primary credential or Radiologic Technology background.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Graduation from an invasive cardiovascular technology program or radiologic technology program with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac interventions including left heart catheterization with minimal assistance.
• Performs scrub duties for peripheral diagnostics or interventions with minimal assistance.
• Set up back table with required equipment; gown and glove as needed.
• Record hemodynamics for cardiac interventions accurately.
• Monitor procedure and document events in MacLab event log.
• Maintain ECG setup and rhythm monitoring; assist in room prep with staff.
• Ensure safety equipment checks and adequate supplies for procedures.
• Transport patients as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification within 2 years of hire; BLS certified

BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
