Job summary

MUHA Cardiovascular Lab is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in invasive procedures. The role supports staff and operates in basic diagnostic catheterization and interventional suites, ensuring readiness and safety.

Requirements include RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI within two years, current BLS, a Bachelor's or equivalent, and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
• Graduation from an accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program; or equivalent education and/or experience.
• RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification required within the first 2 years of hire.
• Telemetry and arterial/venous sheath removal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac interventions, including left and right heart catheterization with minimal to no assistance.
• Performs scrub duties for peripheral diagnostics or interventions with minimal assistance.
• Ability to scrub, gown, glove and set up back table with necessary equipment.
• Records cardiac interventions and hemodynamics with accuracy.
• Monitors procedure and documents inventory and event order in MacLab event log.
• Maintains ECG setup and rhythm monitoring.
• Maintains basic hemodynamic setup and waveform monitoring.
• Assists in preparing the room with staff for safe patient care.
• Performs safety equipment checks and ensures adequate supplies.
