Job summary

Atrium Health's Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, NC seeks a Full-Time Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join a collaborative team. You will work with multiple MDs and APPs in a busy practice with opportunities for autonomy.

Responsibilities include inpatient patient care coordination, assessments, and procedures while maintaining professional competency. Rotating day shifts, no OR duties and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Current NC license to practice as NP or PA plus prescriptive privileges.
• NCCPA certification for PAs or Acute Care NP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, provide, and assist in comprehensive cardiothoracic patient care with supervising physician.
• Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and consultation with supervising physician.
• Maintain clinical competency appropriate to patient age and needs.
• Work independently with strong decision-making and communication in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Inpatient daylight rotating four 10-hour shifts with some weekends every 3-4 weeks.
• No OR responsibilities. No call. Travel may be required.
• Procedures include talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA instillation, chest tube removal, pericardial drain removal, wound VAC.
