Job summary

UHA University Health Associates in Martinsburg, WV, seeks an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) for Cardiothoracic Surgery to coordinate CT surgery care across the continuum, collaborate with CT Surgery providers, and develop comprehensive care plans. The role includes ordering/performing procedures, interpreting studies, and ensuring protocol compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing
• National Certification by a recognized APRN certification body
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia
• BLS certification required; additional life support certifications may be required
• ANOR CNOR pathway for First Assists in peri-operative services may be required
• ACLS may be required at department discretion

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for CT surgery patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform daily rounds, pre-procedure evaluations, and consults as assigned
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage perioperative care
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up with the healthcare team
• Educate residents, medical/APP students, and nursing staff on CT surgery care
