Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA to join our growing Heart & Vascular Institute in Martinsburg, WV.

This leadership role blends advanced clinical practice with APP team oversight alongside a team of cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary providers. The position offers a leadership role within the Cardiothoracic Surgery service, combining clinical care with APP leadership responsibilities and opportunities to participate

Qualifications

• Board Certified NP (ACNP or FNP preferred) or NCCPA-certified PA.
• Minimum of 3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.
• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS as required by the department).
• Must obtain and maintain both West Virginia and Virginia licensure.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for cardiothoracic surgery patients, including preoperative and postoperative management.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons.
• Lead and mentor the APP team, assisting with staffing, onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and professional development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, research, and departmental leadership activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
