Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs in Tucson, AZ seeks a Cardiothoracic Radiologist for a full-time role. You will interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with CT expertise and deliver timely, accurate reports to ordering providers.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship or eligible per VA policy.
  • MD or DO from VA-approved school.
  • Current full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (VA Secretary-approved).

Responsibilities

  • Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with cardiothoracic expertise.
  • Provide timely, accurate reports and communicate critical findings directly to ordering providers.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, peer review, and quality management activities.
  • Support resident and technologist education, pre-procedure lab review, and study protocoling.
  • Maintain complete, current clinical records in accordance with VA regulations.
