Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs in Tucson is seeking a Cardiothoracic Radiologist for a full-time role within SAVAHCS to deliver high-impact imaging care to Veterans. You will interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy, contribute to multidisciplinary boards, educate residents and technologists, and keep complete VA records.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship (non-citizens considered only if qualified citizens cannot be recruited).
  • MD or DO from a VA-approved school.
  • Current, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (VA Secretary-approved).

Responsibilities

  • Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with cardiothoracic expertise.
  • Provide timely, accurate reports and communicate critical findings directly to ordering providers.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, peer review, and quality management activities.
  • Support resident and technologist education, pre-procedure lab review, and study protocoling.
  • Maintain complete, current clinical records in accordance with VA regulations.

Education

MD or DO from VA-approved school
