Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs in Tucson, AZ invites applications for a Cardiothoracic Radiologist in the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. This full-time position delivers high-impact imaging care to America's Veterans.

You will interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy, and participate in tumor boards, education, and quality management. A competitive compensation package and strong benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required (non-citizens considered only if qualified citizens cannot be recruited).
  • MD or DO from a VA-approved school.
  • Current, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (VA Secretary-approved).
  • Board Certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with cardiothoracic expertise.
  • Provide timely, accurate reports and communicate critical findings to ordering providers.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, peer review, and quality management activities.
  • Support resident and technologist education, pre-procedure lab review, and study protocoling.
  • Maintain complete, current clinical records in accordance with VA regulations.
