Job summary

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson seeks a full-time Cardiothoracic Radiologist to provide high-impact imaging care to America's Veterans. Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with cardiothoracic expertise; deliver timely reports and participate in tumor boards, QA, and resident education.

This position offers competitive base salary ($325k-$390k), federal benefits, retirement, malpractice tail coverage, and telework options per VA policy.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required; non-citizens considered only per VA policy.
  • MD or DO from VA-approved school.
  • Current, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (VA-approved).

Responsibilities

  • Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy exams.
  • Provide timely, accurate reports and communicate critical findings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, peer review, and quality management.
  • Support resident and technologist education, pre-procedure lab review, and study protocoling.
  • Maintain complete, current clinical records in accordance with VA regulations.
