Your Role

As a Cardiothoracic Radiologist in the Radiology Service, you will:

  • Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with cardiothoracic expertise.

  • Provide timely, accurate reports and communicate critical findings directly to ordering providers.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, peer review, and quality management activities.

  • Support resident and technologist education, pre-procedure lab review, and study protocoling.

  • Maintain complete, current clinical records in accordance with VA regulations.

Qualifications
Required
  • U.S. citizenship (non-citizens considered only if qualified citizens cannot be recruited per VA policy).

  • MD or DO from a VA-approved school.

  • Current, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (VA Secretary-approved).

Preferred
  • Board Certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.

  • Significant cardiothoracic imaging experience or recent Cardiothoracic Imaging fellowship.

  • Ability to interpret multi-specialty examinations, radiographs, and perform fluoroscopy.

  • Experience teaching residents/fellows.
