Job summary

Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, AZ is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Radiologist to provide expert imaging interpretation of chest radiographs, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy, with multidisciplinary collaboration.

The role offers a competitive base salary in the $325,000–$390,000 range, federal benefits, generous time off and retirement options. Monday–Friday schedule with some call; telework eligible per policy.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship (non-citizens considered only if qualified citizens cannot be recruited).
• MD or DO from a VA-approved school.
• Current, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (VA Secretary-approved).

Responsibilities

• Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with cardiothoracic expertise.
• Provide timely, accurate reports and communicate critical findings to ordering providers.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, peer review, and quality management activities.
• Support resident and technologist education, pre-procedure lab review, and study protocoling.
• Maintain complete, current clinical records in accordance with VA regulations.
