Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. in Phoenix is seeking an experienced perfusionist to operate the Heart/Lung Bypass machine during cardiothoracic procedures, supporting CPB and patient cardiorespiratory function. Schedule: Mon-Fri, Days, 8am-5pm, on-site in Cardio Surgery Faculty.

The ideal candidate holds an ABCP-accredited Perfusion Technology credential with CCP-A eligibility and current BLS certification, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia, and research teams.

Qualifications

• Completion of perfusion technology program accredited by the ABCP.
• Current ABCP CCP-A or eligibility; 3 attempts allowed to obtain certification.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Operates the Heart/Lung Bypass machine during procedures requiring CPB to support cardiorespiratory function.
• Selects equipment and techniques per policy; manages physiologic parameters (blood gases, venous saturation, oximetry, cardiac index, anticoagulation).
• Manages MCAD devices and supports implantation and management of VADs and ECLS.
• Assists cardiothoracic surgeons with procedures and prepares extracorporeal devices for implantation.
• Travels with Heart Procurement Team for select transplant cases; may travel to external facilities.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested.
