Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a skilled perfusionist to operate the Heart/Lung Bypass machine during cardiothoracic procedures and to oversee CPB support for pediatric patients.

The role includes selecting appropriate devices and ensuring optimal physiologic management during surgery. The position requires ABCP-accredited training and current BLS certification, with opportunities to participate in research and travel for select transplant cases.

Qualifications

• Completion of ABCP-accredited Perfusion Technology Program.
• Current ABCP CCP-A or eligibility; limited attempts allowed to obtain certification.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Heart/Lung Bypass machine during CPB to support cardiorespiratory function.
• Select and manage MCAD devices; assist in implantation and prolonged management of VADs and ECLS.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgery to monitor outcomes and collect data; participate in research.
