Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will assist in gowning, gloving, draping, and maintaining a sterile field throughout surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedure efficiency.

Responsibilities include setting up the OR, passing instruments, transporting patients and equipment, and communicating equipment needs to staff. Prior or basic OR skills preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and OR safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, supplies and equipment for procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Assist with gowning/gloving, instrument passing and draping; provide sterile field; anticipate surgeon needs.
• Set up OR and operate equipment used during procedures; return equipment post-procedure.
• Move patients and equipment; transport supplies and maintain safe, efficient environment.
• Notify staff of equipment or supply issues; maintain specialty carts and stock.
