Job summary

Atrium Health's Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, NC, seeks a full-time advanced practice provider to join our OR-only Cardiothoracic surgery team. The APP will function independently in inpatient and operating room settings, collaborating with a supervising physician and multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes cardiac first‑assist experience and EVH; EVH proficiency is required and arterial harvesting is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program with licensure to practice in NC/SC.
• Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license.
• BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Providers with expiration >90 days from start date.
• CTS (cardiothoracic surgery) experience including cardiac first-assist.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-assist in a wide range of cardiac surgeries and EVH.
• Independently manage inpatient and OR responsibilities in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Coordinate care with MDs and APPs in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commit to weekends, holidays, and rotating call as required.
