Job summary

Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or APRN) to support cardiothoracic surgical cases in the operating room.

The APP will be present pre-op, assist in the CVOR, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality care. The role requires completion of an accredited PA or APRN program, active Florida licensure with biennial renewal, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or APRN program.
• Current Florida PA/APRN licensure renewed every two years.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required; ACLS/PALS as required by patient population.

Responsibilities

• Present in the operating room for CV surgical cases prior to the start of the case.
• Assist CVOR staff and anesthesiologists in patient preparation.
• Lead or assist in surgical procedures as designated by surgeons.
• Maintain compliance with OH policies and patient documentation standards.
