Job summary

Orlando Health ORMC Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP) for a full-time, first-shift role in Orlando, FL. The Advanced Practice Provider will assist the CVOR team, perform saphenous vein harvesting, and participate in cardiac surgical cases with on-site availability within 30 minutes.

The position requires NP or PA licensure in Florida with national certification, and a track record of CVOR experience.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of CVOR first assist experience.
• Independent at saphenous vein harvesting (2+ years).
• Must hold applicable licensure/board certification for NP or PA in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and prescribes necessary treatment and services.
• Assists CVOR staff as advanced practice provider (first assist).
• Harbors lead role or acts as advanced resource in a surgical setting.
• Assists on cardiac surgical cases and transfers patient to CVICU.
• Maintains on-site availability within 30 minutes and participates in clinical research as designated.
