Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Cardiac & Thoracic Surgery to deliver inpatient and outpatient care under a supervising physician.

The role includes pre- and post-operative management, adhering to clinical pathways, and participating in perioperative duties with robotic technology as applicable. The APP should have NP or PA training, state licensure, and strong teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including electronic medical record.
• Two years of a variety of clinical experiences including acute care and ambulatory settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care including assessment and evaluation.
• Coordinate patient plans and educate staff and caregivers.
• Initiate orders within scope of practice and collaborate with supervising physicians.
• Demonstrate knowledge of clinical pathways and hospital policies.
• Participate in call coverage as needed.
