Job summary

Randolph Health is seeking a senior Respiratory Therapist leader to plan and direct the cardiopulmonary staff, administer therapies, monitor life support equipment and support the department's quality plan. You will provide patient care, supervise operations in the director’s absence, and maintain a high standard of critical care services.

The role requires an AMA-accredited program graduate with a Respiratory Therapy degree and NBRC status, plus BCLS; ACLS and supervisory experience are

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-accredited respiratory therapist program with an associate or baccalaureate degree.
• Minimum of five years of comprehensive clinical experience in respiratory and critical care.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: NBRC Pulmonary Function Technologist credential.
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Preferred: supervisory experience in a respiratory care or cardiopulmonary department.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct technical activities of the cardiopulmonary staff.
• Direct all department activities in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Provide medical care via therapeutic gases, medications and respiratory procedures.
• Maintain life support equipment and perform CPR as needed.
• Support the Director in quality planning and departmental duties.
