Job summary

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two (2) years of scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic is preferred.
• Experience using electronic health record systems and patient scheduling tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow-up visits for patients.
• Obtain pre-certification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients.
• Explain patient instructions for procedures.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide follow-up instructions.
• Access information from hospital systems using Allscripts and Centricity Business.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Provide friendly and helpful service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
