Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Scheduler to support the Cardiology Department, handling scheduling for EP and the Cath Lab. This full-time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 am–4:30 pm initially, transitioning to 9:00 am–5:30 pm after training, with a hybrid option after six months.

The role coordinates patient procedure scheduling, communicates details to patients, and maintains scheduling systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3–5 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Schedules patients for procedures, post-operative appointments, pre-admission testing, testing, surgery, follow-up and wait list process. Notifies patients in person or by mail with complete details of procedure, location and time.
Maintains multiple scheduling applications and patient data; coordinates location of procedure, staff and resources; enters journal data; collaborates with internal and external partners.
Communicates schedules daily; reviews with advisor; updates staff with revisions; posts schedules.
Acts as liaison to internal departments and external resources and agencies.
Coordinates to ensure all paperwork is complete and preauthorization is obtained; processes referrals for procedures.
