Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional fee coding experience.
• Experience coding cardiology services.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential (CPC/CCS-P/CCS/CCA/RHIA/COC) or related.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.

Responsibilities

• Code a variety of cardiology services including cardiac catheterization, EP, pacemaker/ICD, echocardiograms and stress testing.
• Select CPT codes, ICD-10, modifiers, and E/M levels based on documentation.
• Review medical records to ensure diagnoses and procedures are supported.
• Apply coding guidelines and payer requirements.
• Identify documentation or coding issues and communicate with providers or teams.
