Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent professional fee coding experience.
• Recent experience coding cardiology services strongly preferred.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential, such as CPC, CCS-P, CCS, CCA, RHIT, RHIA, COC.

Responsibilities

• Code a variety of cardiology services including cardiac catheterization, EP, pacemaker/ICD.
• Review medical records to ensure diagnoses and procedures are supported by documentation.
• Identify documentation or coding issues and communicate with providers as needed.
