Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a physician for a weekend-dedicated inpatient cardiology role. You will manage inpatient care, rounding and admissions during peak weekend hours and benefit from 4–5 uninterrupted days off weekly.

Qualifications

• MD/DO board certification or eligibility in cardiology.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• TN Board of Nursing NP credential required before hire.
• TN Board of Nursing RN license or multi-state Compact license required.

• Join an established team of 13 physicians and 11 APP's

• Call structure: N/A

• Practice setting: inpatient

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in cardiology

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Conduct inpatient daily rounding, consultations, admissions, and discharges for adult acute care patients.

• Formulate co-managed patient treatment plans alongside nursing, case management, and specialty services.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing require
