Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Heart Care in Baltimore, MD is seeking a physician to join a high-volume cardiology practice. The role involves balancing outpatient clinics with essential inpatient rounds, delivering life-saving diagnostic insights through TTE, TEE, and nuclear stress tests, and coordinating care across a robust cardiovascular network.

The ideal candidate is Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiology, with a MD/DO degree and Maryland licensure in place.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board certification in Cardiology or eligible.
• Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease preferred.
• Maryland licensure prior to hire required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-volume outpatient and inpatient cardiology care.
• Perform and interpret TTE/TEE and nuclear stress tests.
• Collaborate with a team of physicians and APPs.
• Provide seamless care from clinic to bedside and ensure continuity.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Cardiologist to join a high-volume, employed practice with a robust internal referral base and the comprehensive diagnostic resources of the Ascension Saint Agnes cardiovascular network.

Join an established team of 8 physicians and 7 APPs

Call structure: 1 week every 6-7 weeks

Practice setting: Outpatient and inpatient

Employed position within a nonprofit health system

Lead comprehensive patient care journeys by balancing a dedicated outpatient practice with essential inpatient rounds to ensure continuity of care from the clinic to the bedside.

Deliver life-saving diagnostic insights through the expert performance and interpretation of TTE, TEE, and nuclear stress tests to guide precise treatment plans.

Must be able to

read or perform TTE, TEE, and nuclear stress tests

Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology

Board Certification in Echocardiography preferred

Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
