Job summary

IMS Care Center in Avondale, part of Integrated Medical Services, seeks a Medical Office Assistant in Cardiology. You will handle high-volume calls, schedule and confirm appointments, log new patient referrals, and support front office duties in a busy medical practice.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, familiarity with EMR (Athena), strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to manage multiple tasks is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years’ experience
• Must have Cardiology experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• EMR (Athena) experience a plus
• HIPAA guidelines knowledge and protection of Health Information
• Professional demeanor with patients
• Experience with office medical procedures and scheduling software
