Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Western Massachusetts, Inc. in Northampton is seeking a 40-hour, full-time Medical Assistant to support the Cardiology practice onsite, with standard hours Monday–Friday and flexible shift times within 8:00am–5:00pm.

You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and assist with patient flow while collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient care and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
• Basic Life Support (BLS Certification)
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants and onboarding training onboarding.
• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, measure vital signs, and record in medical record.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, and instructions; provide educational materials.
• Answer phones, take dictation, complete insurance forms; liaise with other departments and advocate for patients.
