Job summary

Syneos Health in Los Angeles seeks a Strategic Business Director (SBD) to drive adoption of a cardiovascular product through complex hospital systems, IDNs, and GPOs. This field-based, highly strategic role will coordinate with Managed Markets, Medical, HEOR, and Marketing to shape access strategies.

You will engage pharmacy and medical directors, P&T committees, and contracting teams, building account profiles and pull-through targets while traveling extensively to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
• 7+ years working with large academic health systems, IDNs, and/or GPOs, ideally in Critical Care or Cardiology.
• Strong knowledge of Managed Care coverage and product reimbursement.
• Experience collaborating across marketing, medical, field teams, and market access functions.
• Understanding of EMR systems, CPOE, and order set development.
• Ability to travel more than 50%.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and product adoption within key academic institutions, IDNs, and GPOs by targeting prescribers, influencers, and decisionmakers.
• Build and maintain detailed account profiles, including protocol processes, pull-through targets, and key influencers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Managed Markets, Trade, Value Access, Contracting, Medical, HEOR, Marketing.
• Engage pharmacy directors, medical directors, P&T committees, contracting managers, service line directors, and clinical staff to support adoption.
• Work with Account Managers, Area Sales Directors, MSLs, and other colleagues; communicate contracts, pricing, and HEOR interactions.
