Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems.
• At least 1 year of front office/scheduling clinical experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• If driving for work, valid state driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Cardiology practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate appointments and schedules for patients receiving care services.
• Liaise between patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure timely scheduling.
• Utilize scheduling software and systems to manage appointments, resources, and provider availability.
• Communicate appointment details (dates, times, locations) to all relevant parties.
• Verify patient eligibility, insurance coverage, and authorization requirements for appointments.
• Respond to patient inquiries and concerns regarding scheduling and appointments.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to prioritize and schedule urgent or emergency appointments.
• Maintain accurate records of scheduled appointments and patient information.
• Coordinate transportation and other logistics for patients as needed.
• Foster communication between different departments or care teams.
• Monitor appointment attendance and follow up on missed appointments or scheduling conflicts.
