Job summary

Ascension in Waco, TX is seeking a patient services role within the Cardiovascular department. The position supports patient flow, insurance precertifications, and scheduling, while handling daily charges and deposits.

Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. Associate responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting documentation, and providing general clerical assistance to the assigned area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, check patients in and out, and obtain necessary documentation. Verify and enter demographic information.
• Obtain and verify insurance authorizations/precertification. Complete medical record release requests and schedule/confirm patient appointments.
• Enter, review and submit charges for patient procedures and services daily. Collect co-payments and reconcile all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
• Provide general office and clerical support to assigned area.
