Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 in the Louisville, KY area. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with installations, and troubleshoot basic issues on diagnostic and invasive cardiology equipment.

Travel for training and field support is required, with a five 8-hour shift schedule. You will collaborate with teammates to ensure customer satisfaction, document service activities, and participate in revenue programs while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field or military equivalent.
• Experience with web applications and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on designated equipment.
• Assist with equipment installation and basic troubleshooting under supervision.
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates to ensure resolution.
• Document service activities, order parts, and manage service reports timely.
• Follow GEHC quality policies and escalate issues per process.
• Identify potential future service opportunities and support revenue programs.
• Maintain professional demeanor in high-stress customer environments.
• Travel for training as needed and support regional/national teams.
