Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin Milwaukee seeks an Exercise Physiologist to perform and coordinate diagnostic procedures with the Cardiology service line. The role includes stress testing and collaboration with the care team, Monday–Friday clinic hours, no calls, no weekends.

Required: Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology; ACSM-CEP for stress testing; BLS HCP; ACLS within 6 months; 1 year related experience preferred. Position offers comprehensive Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology required; Master's preferred.
• ACSM-CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist) required for stress testing.
• BLS HCP from AHA required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire date.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs exercise and/or pharmacological stress testing following ACSM/AHA/ACC guidelines.
• Assesses contraindications to cardiac stress testing by review of H&P, labs and prior tests.
• Explains the procedure, verifies the order, and confirms patient identity.
• Assists with transferring patients and adaptive positioning for safety.
• Recognizes ECG changes and arrhythmias pre-, during-, and post-test.
• Communicates abnormal results to physicians and staff.
• Responds to emergencies professionally and promptly.
• Cross trains with related staff as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology

Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology (preferred)

ACSM-CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist) (required for stress testing)

BLS HCP (AHA)

ACLS within 6 months of hire

One year of related experience preferred
