Job summary

Duke Health Integrated Practice in Raleigh seeks an Exercise Physiologist to screen medical histories, assess health status, and administer stress testing in the Duke Cardiology of Raleigh clinic. The role includes planning and implementing individual and group fitness programs, interpreting 12-lead ECG results, and ensuring patient safety within regulatory standards.

Candidates hold a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science, ACSM-CEP, ACLS, and experience with Epic EMR;

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science is required.
• ACSM certification as Exercise Physiologist or related role or ACSM-CEP accepted.
• ACLS required (must obtain within 6 months of hire) for Level I/II.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardio treadmill stress testing with 12-lead ECG interpretation.
• Assist with screening medical histories and health status assessments.
• Plan and implement individual and group fitness programs.
• Maintain inventory and ensure safety in the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, Joint Commission, JCAHO).
