Aurora Health Care is seeking a qualified Exercise Physiologist to perform and coordinate diagnostic stress testing in the Cardiology service line. You will assess patient suitability, explain procedures, verify orders, and ensure safe operation of testing equipment.

Responsibilities include identifying contraindications, recognizing ECG changes, communicating results, and responding to emergencies in a fast-paced clinical environment. Some cross-training with related staff may occur.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology required.
• Master's degree in Exercise Physiology preferred.
• ACSM-CEP certification required or eligible to test.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire date.
• Experience in stress testing is preferred.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required by the department.

Aufgaben

• Coordinates and performs exercise and pharmacological stress testing per ACSM/AHA/ACC guidelines.
• Assesss patient contraindications by reviewing latest H&P, labs, and prior tests.
• Explains procedure, verifies order, and confirms patient identity.
• Assists with transferring patients and positioning for safety.
• Recognizes ECG changes and arrythmias before, during, and after tests.
• Communicates abnormal results to physician or clinical staff.
• Responds to emergencies in a professional, prompt manner.
• May cross-train with related staff as needed.
