Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Services Associate to support the Cardiology practice at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. The role combines medical assisting and patient services to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The CSA will room patients, perform phlebotomy, document in EMR, and handle clerical tasks including scheduling and insurance coordination. A CMA/RMA and MA certification are required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification required/active or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs; prepare chart in EMR.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen handling; assist with EKGs.
• Process referrals and pre-authorizations; manage insurance requirements.
• Assist in front-end duties: scheduling, billing, and patient communications.
